Covid-19 update – keeping you safe during your Lake District holiday

It has been a tough time for the Lake District, which relies so much on visitors. And it was very sad to close our doors in March, so soon after our successful launch.

But we are making plans to re-open Endymion House to guests on July 4th 2020 – the date currently suggested by the government for the leisure industry to start business again.

We want to make sure that we are following best practice to keep our guests and our housekeeping staff as safe as possible. So, between each stay an additional cleaner will be on site and all surfaces, including, light switches, door handles, remote controls, stair rails, hairdryers etc will be given a thorough wipe-down with bleach-based cleaning fluid, as suggested by government guidelines. The cleaning staff will be wearing disposable masks, gloves and aprons.

To ensure there is no unnecessary contact between guests and housekeeping staff, we are operating a contactless entry system via a key safe. We do also ask that guests have left the property by 10am promptly, before the cleaners arrive. The cleaners will have left the property before the guests check in from 4pm.

We usually, in order to cut down on plastic waste, use refillable soap and shower gel bottles from our lovely local supplier, Pure Lakes. But, for now, we will be offering smaller, single-use bottles, which you can take away.

We will be keeping all these procedures under review and update if appropriate.
